Summer ☀️ Staycations

July 27, 2017

Hey loves! Between drinking 5 gallons of water, only going outside between the hours of 6am-10 and 7pm- 10pm because it's a furnace out here in Arizona, and of course  trying not to get burned when sitting in your car leather seats; I've concluded that summer is exhausting am I right?!  So what better way to take a break from the hustle and bustle of your busy summer than to stay at a cute boutique hotel!

Blogger Sleepover

I was invited to attend a blogger sleepover at The Graduate Tempe a couple of weeks ago and it was so much fun! The Graduate Hotel is a chain of boutique hotels that are conveniently located in college towns. Graduate Tempe is down the street from a local university: Arizona State University! One of my favorite aspects of The Graduate was when I checked in, my key was the activity card of an famous movie director from the 80's! Each room at The Graduate has a large colorful painting,  "journals" used for a hotel directory, and vintage radio and more are key pieces that bring the room together!  They offer bike rentals, shuttle service, 24 hour gym, a pool, and the best: they are pet friendly!

Cocktail making class with Iconic Cocktail

The hotel put together a cocktail making class for us to be apart of! I've never been to a cocktail making class, so this was super exciting to me!! We made a limited edition cocktail that Iconic Cocktail only has out for the summer season! Pichuberry Peach Sour! It was the perfect refreshment for that hot summer afternoon!

Dinner at Tapacubo: Mexican Street Food

If anyone knows me, they know that I am O B S E S S E D with Mexican food, so I was basically in heaven! We had such a great time drinking margs (another favorite) eating nachos (and more) and of course you can't have dinner with out desert! I had prickly pear sorbet O M G so good, and the others had mini churros!!

Pool Time

Since I don't have a pool at my house, I take full atvantage at hotel pools and I'm NOT ashamed!! Eqquiped with large Jenga pieces, poolside service, what other way to spend a summer?

 Breakfast at The Normal Diner

We got a late start to breakfast, #dontswimlateatnight & #thengotoinandoutburger 😂  luckily the staff were super accommodating and we ate break-y around 10ish! The Normal Diner was like a old flash back to those movies where the friends would get together after school to drink milkshakes and eat french fries!! They even have a 8 track wall!! #socool We had mimosas and I ate scrambled eggs with veggies #tryingtostayfit 🤷🏾‍♀️

Thank you so much to The Graduate for letting us stay the night and enjoy awesome food and drinks! I will definitely stay here again! Also the staff was impeccable!!!

*Disclaimer: although is stay was compensated, all opinions are my own!

All photos except the three under blogger sleepover were shot by Stepho of Fansy Photography!

Happy #travelthursday everyone!! Go take a staycation here, you won't regret it!!

XOXO,
